Corona Virus: There are 18 countries where the outbreak has not yet reached

PublicNews18: Until three months ago, the Corona virus was restricted to China only and no single case of the virus was reported outside China.

Corona Virus But soon the virus became a global problem.

Before Korea, Japan, South Korea and the United States, a case of Corona emerged in Thailand. And then there was a global flood of victims. There are now more than a million victims of the Corona virus in Nepal, from Nicaragua to the world.

But as the number of casualties is increasing and the number of hospitals is increasing, is there still a place where the Corona virus has not been infected..

Surprisingly, the answer is probably yes.

The number of UN member states is 193.

According to Johns Hopkins University data, as of April 2, there were 18 countries in the world where corona virus cases were not reported.

Comoros, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Macronesia, North Korea, Palau, Samoa, Sao Tome, Principe, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Yemen.

Some experts agree that North Korea likely has unreported victims. Like the war-torn Yemen, the number of corona cases officially reported in North Korea is zero.

But there are some countries where the virus has not yet been infected. Most of them are small islands where few people visit. According to UN statistics, seven out of 10 places in the world where very few people go are Corona virus.

You might think that people in this remote place don’t need much distance?

But in a country where there is only one hospital with no ventilator and no shortage of nurses, it cannot take this kind of chance. So far the administration of the area has taken the following steps to avoid Corona.

Passengers from China, South Korea and Italy were banned on March 2, but five days later Iran was added to the list of countries.

In mid-March, other airlines canceled their flights to Fiji, Kiribati and Marshall Islands. Now Brisbane was the only route and there were flights once a week instead of three.
The government thereafter ordered its citizens returning from Australia to stay in quarantine for 14 days in local hotels.
Loren Engemia, president of the Nuru, says this quarantine policy is called ‘Hold and Stop’.

He said, “We are limiting matters to borders.”

People who are in quarantine are tested daily. When someone has a fever, they are excluded for further examination of Covid 19. All tests are sent to Australia, but so far all reports have been negative.
