Henk Rottinghuis has also held non-executive director roles for: ABN*AMRO (advisory board), Royal Bank of Scotland NV, DRG (food retail), Stork (technical services oil / gas / petrochemicals) as non-executive Chair, Blokker (non-food retail), Oranje Nassau Group (oil, energy), CRH (cement building materials), Wajer Yachts and Investancia (sustainable energy).

From 1993-2010 Henk Rottinghuis worked for the second largest family-owned company in The Netherlands, Pon Holdings, running an Automotive Division that sold 150,000 cars per annum. Henk Rottinghuis has private investments in ventures ranging from sustainable energy to the media. He devotes a large proportion of time to a variety of sports, cultural and charitable initiatives – the most prominent being Vice Chairman of the Dutch Equestrian Federation, Chair of the Rijksmuseum Foundation and Board member of National Park De Hoge Veluwe.
